Our Mission
Masjid Omar Ibn Sayyid is an Islamic community in association with the leadership of Imam W. Deen Mohammed, which proclaims in word and deed the universal message of Al-Islam; that there is but one G-d and one human family. We are committed to establish a balanced community life in its broadest sense, witnessing the eternal wisdom of the words of G-d and the life exemplified by Prophet Muhammed (prayers and peace be upon him). We will cultivate the patterned growth of human excellence and good character through building valuable relationships with all G-d conscious people.

To foster within each student the principle of submission to the Will of Allah as the essential element in achieving human excellence. o increase knowledge in Al-Islam, The Qur’an, and the life examples of Muhammad the Prophet and incorporate these teachings into everyday life.

Janaaza/Funerals
Here at Masjid Omar Ibn Sayyid the Janaaza includes the ritual bathing, preparation of the body, funeral prayer, and burial at our Muslim cemetery, located in Camaron, NC.

Nikkah (Marriage Ceremony)
To make an appointment, you can meet with any of our Imams at Masjid Omar Ibn Sayyid after congregational Salah. An appointment with any Imam is required to set up a date, time, and arrangements for the nikkah.

Food Drive
As an important part of the Fayetteville community, Masjid Omar Ibn Sayyid is dedicated to the same goal: to work hard to serve the needs of those in need. Join our group of volunteers, the board of directors, and staff members; every third (3rd) Saturday of the month at 9am; at Masjid Omar Ibn Sayyid,
in our efforts to stop hunger in the world we live in.
